MZA is extending freelancers’ residency visa validity to 2 years

License and registration fees waived for the first 2 years
In support of a recent Abu Dhabi Government resolution, the Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi (MZA) is now waiving the licencing and registration fees to new companies and new freelancers for their first two years from registration starting December 2018.

The licencing fees by Abu Dhabi Government to obtain the DED onshore licence is now waived for the first two years giving you access to more business, at a lower cost.

Being the home for the Special Olympics World Games 2019, the UAE has scripted a new chapter of compassion and inclusion for humanity in the Year of Tolerance. We celebrated the success of more than 7,000 athletes from over 170 countries – a significant moment for the UAE and humanity at large.

We’re proud of the incredible roster of dedicated initiatives that our community has developed in support of the Special Olympics and the wider mission of the UAE in the Year of Tolerance to create a more tolerant, equitable, and inclusive society, reinforcing the country’s position as a beacon for peace and co-existence and inspiring other nations to follow suit.
twofour54’s youth community ensures inspirational stories of Special Olympics World Games continue to be heard
Young talents from across Abu Dhabi ensured the compelling stories that came out of the Special Olympics World Games continue to inspire people around the globe, thanks to a programme run by twofour54.

Guided by its mission to develop a thriving creative ecosystem that inspires world-class content, twofour54 selected 22 young creative lab members, as well as summers campers aged from 9 – 14, to produce and publish stories from behind the scenes at the World Games.

All content was captured by the summer camp students.
CNN drew on its incredible global reach as the news home of the Special Olympics, pouring significant time, care and energy into capturing the Games. Additionally, the station provided internships for students who are intellectually challenged and encouraged volunteering among its staff.
All About Brands
The creative agency developed the brand identity for the Regional Games 2018 and the World Games 2019, in addition to creating advertising campaigns and providing ongoing creative support to ensure the highest possible visibility for the Special Olympics.  
CSM Sport & Entertainment
CSM Sport & Entertainment, a specialized agency in sport marketing and entertainment, was involved in several communication initiatives, including community outreach programmes, ambassadors, advisory, design and production. The team helped deliver the Torch Run for the World Games in the seven Emirates across the UAE, managed three of the World Games venues and delivered the entire look and feel across all venues. The company also pledged to implement the ‘Disability in the Workplace Programme’, which aims to foster tolerance and co-existence by integrating people of determination in the workforce.
Acorn Strategy
Acorn Strategy implemented a country-wide community outreach campaign – Fans in the Stand – to encourage schools, universities, clubs, embassies, businesses, and government entities to send fans to specific sessions at any of the nine venues hosting the Games.
Ajyaal Media
Known for its outstanding edutainment content, Ajyaal Media conceptualized and produced the Special Olympics’ mascots – Faris and Rabdan – spreading happiness and sharing unforgettable moments with participants and supporters. 
Haykal Media
Haykal Media eagerly supported this international event, and signed an MOU to promote and endorse the games through its various publications and social media. Haykal Media also highlighted the stories of these athletes, and to promote their events in prominent placements throughout their premium magazines including the Harvard Business Review Arabia and Popular Science Arabia.

Translation firm Tarjama raises $5m in first funding round
Tarjama, which means “translation” in Arabic was first launched in Jordan in 2008. It now has a presence in eight countries and has raised $5m in its first funding round. The company said its technology platforms will focus on Arabic content and translation services, including the Ureed platform, the region’s first online editorial marketplace for translation and content services. The funding will also help the company launch its Arabic machine translation engine using artificial intelligence.
Production of hugely popular children’s show ‘Iftah Ya Simsim’ Season 3 wraps at twofour54 Abu Dhabi
twofour54 has once again welcomed Bidaya and the characters of ‘Iftah Ya Simsim’ to its studios as the friends set off on fresh adventures for their latest season, which will include the Muppets of ‘Iftah Ya Simsim’ and guest stars.

Bidaya, the leading children’s education Arabic content developer in the region, has completed filming the third season of the beloved Arabic children’s show in partnership with twofour54. The series is centred on the values of understanding, respect, caring, sharing and self-improvement.

Terry Fox Run

The Terry Fox Run returns to the Capital this April 19th, 2019. The yearly run is a must-attend on the calendars of families, sport enthusiasts, philanthropists and UAE residents. The run fuels charitable donations for local cancer research and commemorates the indelible mark that Terry Fox left on his fight against cancer. 

The 8.5 Km Run will start and end at the East Plaza on the Abu Dhabi Corniche at Al Sahil Beach and will take the direction towards the Mina Zayed Port. Registration and t-shirt collection start at 8 am. The race starts at 10 am.
