Two major productions have been filmed in Abu Dhabi and are being released soon. War Machine is an original Netflix TV series produced with Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B Entertainment. The series is a satirical comedy based on the best-selling book, The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan by the late American journalist Michael Hastings. You can watch it soon exclusively on Netflix.
Another major production is Dishoom, Bollywood’s next blockbuster. It is an action-adventure film directed by Rohit Dhawan and staring Varun Dhawan and John Abraham. The release date is set for 29 July 2016.

Gulf region’s first Korean Cultural Centre opens in Abu Dhabi
The Republic of Korea has chosen Abu Dhabi to open its first Korean Cultural Centre in the Gulf in efforts to strengthen strategic ties between the two countries. As part of the opening ceremony, The Korea Creative Contents Agency (KOCCA) and the Media Zone Authority - Abu Dhabi signed a memorandum of understanding to formalize the organisation’s shared commitment to building a solid bilateral relationship that will support the continued development of Abu Dhabi’s media industry and the strategic entry of KOCCA into the Middle East.
The Korean Cultural Centre serves to educate about its heritage in a very exciting way. There are many state of the art facilities where one can be introduced to Korean culture, a Traditional Experience Zone where one can fully immerse themselves in Korean traditions by stepping into a traditional Korean house, an ICT hall with a virtual centre where they are have access to Korean Media library, a kitchen where cooking classes will take place to have the opportunity to be exposed to Korean food, and many more thrilling facilities.
