Every year Myriad Global Media enters a selection of its best work to the WorldFest Houston International Film and Video Festival and has received a number of awards over the years.

This is one of the few film festivals with categories for corporate films and over 4,500 entries are received every year in 200+ categories. The 50th annual edition of the festival was held on Saturday 29th April, 20 of Myriad’s entries received an award, with 4 of those coming from the Middle East region. This is the highest number of awards won by a single entrant ever in the history of the festival.

O3 Productions is filming “HOB BILA HUDOOD” (“Love without Borders”) in Abu Dhabi over 75 days, with twofour54 providing production and post-production services and will benefit from Abu Dhabi Film Commission’s 30% rebate. Directed by young Saudi director Mujtaba Saeed.

The 30-episode TV drama follows the story of a young Saudi doctor who challenges traditions as she decides to follow her dream of joining a non-profit organisation, and help saving people’s lives in stricken areas.

Abu Dhabi Film Commission is set to welcome one of India’s most anticipated Bollywood movies, Tiger Zinda Hai. The Yash Raj Films production will have its longest shoot in the Emirate, and will be Abu Dhabi’s longest feature film project to date with a filming schedule of 65 days.

The film is a sequel to the blockbuster film Ek Tha Tiger and will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will star in the larger than life production, along with a strong supporting cast.

The Smovies is a film competition platform that is owned and run by BrandMoxie, a leading marketing firm based in twofour54.

The Smovies competition is running its 6th season, calling on talents to submit a 60 second movie. This year’s theme is giving, in line with the UAE’s theme of #YearofGiving. The deadline to submit is June 22, 2017.

twofour54-backed gaming developer Unnyhog is setting new benchmarks in the digital sector, becoming the first truly cross-platform fast-paced game in the world following the launch of a mobile platform for its game, UnnyWorld.

Initially built as a PC-based platform, Unnyworld is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, set in a fantasy world where each player has his own tiny planet and a character, which the player controls.

The program’s first edition aimed to select young Emirati Nationals aged 17-25 and provide them with sessions and workshops around innovation, creative thinking and entrepreneurship with the aim of developing their skills for the workplace or their own business ventures. With a competitive process from hundreds of applications, the participants were selected for their passions and commitment to creative solutions for the country.
