Bidaya (Arabic for “Beginning”) has been established at twofour54 to create high-quality educational media content in Arabic to make a difference in children’s lives. Bidaya Media believes in delivering simple educational messages that are vital tools essential to the holistic growth of children into well-rounded and productive individuals. A key project that delivers this belief is the development of “Iftah Ya Simsim” an educational television series for children, based off the world-renowned show Sesame Street.

twofour54 campus partner, Ego Punch, hosted the premiere of the film One Piece: Gold, at the Emirates Palace. One piece is the number one selling manga series in the word with over a million copies sold. The premiere was extremely important milestone for Abu Dhabi, as it was the first showing of the film, playing 8 days before Japan. The venue was completely sold-out proving that Abu Dhabi has a strong anime fan base.

Pepper is a humanoid robot designed by Aldebaran Robotics and SoftBank Mobile with the ability to read human emotions. Described as 'kindly, endearing and surprising’, Pepper is a humanoid companion who can communicate in a natural and intuitive way, through his body movements and voice.

Pepper recognises faces and can speak, listen and move around autonomously as well as interpreting human behaviour. Pepper is exclusively distributed in the GCC by YAS Digital Media LLC.

Alpha Apps launched the first mobile application that introduces children to “The Sira”, the life story of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Using stunning, high-quality illustrations and being among the most advanced applications developed in the region, “The Sira" walks children through the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from birth until his last pilgrimage. The mobile application was developed by an extremely professional team of programmers, artists, and audio experts, as well as specialized educationalists. It is meant to be the first app of its kind with such high quality.

It is available for download on both iOS and android for $9.99.

twofour54 has hosted an on-campus blood bank to boost blood donations from Abu Dhabi’s media and entertainment community. The visit by Sheikh Khalifa Medical City’s Abu Dhabi mobile blood bank was organised by twofour54 as part of its ongoing social responsibility initiative, United4UAE.

More than 80 people who work for media and entertainment companies based at twofour54 attended the blood bank, including a number of twofour54’s own employees.
