Arab Film Studio
Image Nation Abu Dhabi, one of the leading media and entertainment companies in the Middle East, announced the winner of the fourth edition of its short film competition, Arab Film Studio (AFS), at an awards ceremony in Abu Dhabi this month.

Omar Adam, a 23-year old film fan and creative lab member, scooped the top prize for Best Film, as well as Best Editing for his film Five, which follows a young man as he agonizingly waits for important medical test results.

In more Image Nation news, AFS will hold its narrative annual training initiative that aims to develop UAE nationals', and UAE residents' skills in filmmaking. The winner receives an internship opportunity in a national or international production.

SANAD funded films among contenders for Oscars 2016
Three of the seven Arab films being considered for the Best Foreign Language Film category in the 2016 Academy Awards were funded by SANAD, demonstrating the quality and success of this Abu Dhabi-based initiative to support Arab film making.

Entrepreneurship Week
twofour54 is celebrating the global entrepreneurial ecosystem this week.

We are proud to be leading the way in supporting media entrepreneurs with a dedicated scheme that has already helped ten UAE Nationals to set up successful businesses in the creative industries. This week is Global Entrepreneurship Week, and will be followed by UAE Innovation Week next week.

Innovation Week
As part of the UAE's National Innovation Strategy launched in October last year by HH Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Shaikh Mohammad launched the Innovation Week to be held from November 22-28. The event seeks to celebrate the best in ideas on innovation from the spectrum of government and private sectors, as well as from the public.

The UAE Innovation Week will witness the announcement of various government initiatives as well as events and activities by the government, the private sector and academic entities, including schools.
