| The NSO Symphony Orchestra (NSO) is an orchestra of excellence, promoting music within the UAE for current and future generations of Emirati Nationals and Expatriates. NSO will be performing 'A Night at the Movies III' at the Emirates Palace Auditorium on 9 October. The concert features the world premiere of the concert version of James Griffiths' award winning sci-fi film score 'The Drift', especially composed for NSO and this concert. NSO was founded in 2011. Its aim is to engage, enrich and inspire the UAE through artistically vibrant performances and a flagship series of main season classical concerts, chamber music concerts, Young Artists Concerto Competitions and educational programmes. | ||

| FLASH Entertainment, organisers of Yasalam, the largest city-wide entertainment festival run by any F1 race host city, has announced they are welcoming applications for its new Emerging Talent Competition, set to offer a life-changing opportunity for local musical performers and bands. UAE-based vocalists, bands and budding musicians over the age of 16 can apply before the deadline of 11.59pm on 3 October. The Emerging Talent Competition is a new component of the legendary YASALAM 2015 Festival, which runs alongside the F1 race in Abu Dhabi. On November 26 Arabic music stars DJ Said Mrad, Fares Karam, Aryam, Cheb Khaled will take to the du Arena stage to open the festival programme, with the international line-up for 27-29 November 27, 28 and 29 to be announced.
